Bountiful Grace Newsletter September 2004

Bountiful Grace's board of directors and officers is gearing up for our first formal mission trip,
Saturday January 8, 2005 through Sunday January 16th. As this will be a "building" expedition,
we look forward to working with local skilled and unskilled laborers; collaboration with home
construction or agriculture projects in Project Chacocente ("Dump Lady's project); and
interacting and distributing clothes to local village children. We will be in a very safe
environment, although some conditions may be rustic. Please contact any board member (see end of
newsletter) if you are interested in going with us. Airfare and other arrangements will need to be
accomplished by mid-late October. The anticipated cost of the trip is approximately $1200 per
person.

We are very excited to announce several key people that have joined forces with Bountiful Grace.
These include:
- Doug Reed and Mary Jo Clemens: Doug and Mary Jo live in Hagerstown, Maryland. They were
both members of the Nicaragua mission trip (January 2003) that Dick and Dan went on with the Acts 1:8
group. They are excited, eager, and working very hard in their community to raise funds for our joint
efforts.

- Lydia Collie: Lydia is a very experienced fund raiser and has volunteered to help us find
ways to raise money for our projects. We are grateful for her creative ideas and expertise.

On May 16, 2004, Bountiful Grace sponsored Cheryl Avery (a.k.a. "The Dump Lady") at St Michael's
9:00am service. The pre-service breakfast generated a lot of interest. Approximately $2000 was raised
by St Michaels's parishoners for Cheryl's "Project Chacocente". Bountiful Grace hopes to work
closely with Cheryl on her project in the future (including the January mission trip previously mentioned).

What's going on with the Construction Projects:

Our first project (building a church in Buena Vista) is moving along nicely.
The project has created employment in the village as well as a safe place for the villagers to worship.
We are fully funded for this church. Photos of our building project are available at our website:
www.bountifulgrace.com . We are also working closely with our Nicaragua contact organization, M.E.F.E.L.,
in coordinating our next project. This will probably be a grammar school in a rural village.

Presentations:

We are currently working hard to schedule fund raising and informational
presentations to churches and organizations. If you have an organization that might like to host our
presentation, please contact us.
Currently Scheduled:

Sept 25th 4:00 -7:00 pm - Kick-off fund raiser for a Nicaraguan grammar school. We are
having a wine tasting event at Talon Winery, Tates Creek Pike, Lexington. Please call Dan James
@ 224-3764 if you wish to buy tickets ($25 each, fully-tax deductible). Please come!

Nov 3rd 6pm- "1st Wednesday", St Michael's Church (2025 Bellefonte, Lexington)

Nov 22nd - "Mother to Mother", Lexington

Needs:

Bountiful Grace needs someone willing to serve as travel plan coordinator for mission trips. This
person would not necessarily need to go on the mission trip itself. Duties would include: - Arranging
- air transportation (there is a mission company that helps with most of this work) - Making lodging
arrangements in Nicaragua, as needed (this will be simply arranged with the help of several lodging
organizations or the Best Western hotel in Managua)
- Keeping upwith deadlines for payments from team members for the trip
- Acting as liaison with the travel evacuation insurance company to purchase policies for team members.
- Distributing the group's travel health and vaccination policies information to team members.

More information and photos are available on our web site: www.bountifulgrace.com . Board member, Dr. James is available
to help people find what they need for the trip. Directors and Officers of Bountiful Grace Corporation:
